At Ash and Green we believe in building for the long term and ensuring a vibrant local community at our projects. Good design means providing opportunities for learning, community connection and cultivating a positive and inclusive environment.

Our community engagement team ensures that meaningful community engagement occurs during the design and development process and beyond. We seek to work with Local Authorities to address existing needs beyond the basic need for housing. It is a key goal of our community engagement that resident associations and forums are planned and initiated in partnership with local Registered Social Landlords.

Ash and Green’s community team ensures that

• Meaningful community engagement occurs throughout the development process.
• Works with RSL’s to set up community groups that will take a long-term formal role in engaging with the RSHP and managing the community interface.
• The project benefits to the local area are clearly defined. Key to any community building activity is clear communication and this is where our team excels.

Our dedicated community team is committed to helping our residents find facilities that will help them, including job opportunities within the construction industry. This includes regular career fairs located at our developments as well as ensuring that all our delivery contractors provide opportunities for local people through the local authority initiatives.

Construction work does take skill but we believe that this skill can be taught to anyone who wants to learn. In this age of AI, professional construction skills could be considered among the most secure of career options, and we want to encourage people to pursue it.
